OpenFOAM® is a free, open source CFD toolbox using the C++ language and offers a lot of features to solve anything you can imagine (chemical reactions, turbulence, heat transfer, acoustics, solid mechanics and electromagnetic).

Coupling OpenFOAM® with DAKOTA® result in a extreme powerful toolbox for optimization, multi-dimensions analyses and much more.



ParaView® is an open-source, multi-platform data analysis and visualization application. The toolbox give the ability to make data manipulations, pictures and videos using numerical data.

The application has a great python interface that allows for scripting.



Blender® is the open source, cross platform suite of tools for 3D creation. It allows you to create geometries, repairing STL files and much more. Using the wide range of possibilities of renderings, Blender enable high quality rendering of numerical data.

The toolbox allows for python scripting by using the python API.

Salome Meca

Salome Meca®

Salome® is an open-source software that provides a generic platform for Pre- and Post-Processing for numerical simulation. It can be used for creating geometries, meshing, data analyzing and much more. The main duty of the application is the interface between commercial CAD software and OpenFOAM®, e.g. excellent surface triangulation.



DAKOTA® is an open source toolbox that collects different optimization algorithm and can be used in combination with arbitrary software packages. The fork interface allows to combine DAKOTA® with any toolbox one wants to use. 


Most of the software developments are done using C++. The developments are stored on different git repositories and are kept up to date for the OpenFOAM® Foundation version.

OpenFOAM® Training

Different training sessions improve your knowledge in OpenFOAM®. It is demonstrated how to create and establish new OpenFOAM® cases with all difficulties. Other sessions will describe the programming and debugging topics.

OpenFOAM® Tutorials

Due to the fact that some question are asked frequently, I made some basic tutorials that can be downloaded and analyzed. Each tutorial includes a bash script that describe the way to get to the solution. If you think there is some special topic missing, please send me an email. Finally support is given in mostly all CFD directions.
