extrude2DMesh Application in OpenFOAM®
The second episode of the application training video is about the OpenFOAM® application named extrude2DMesh. As the name already indicates, the program is used to build 2D meshes. The user can specify if a linear or radial extrusion is used. While using the latter one, the edges are collapsed automatically in order to get the wedge mesh. The very interesting point in that application is the usage of surface meshes which allows one to have very interesting mesh elements. During the video a triangulated mesh is generated and extruded. After that a more advanced mesh will be generated by using Blender.
The training video shows the usage of the extrude2DMesh application for generating 2D meshes out of meshed surfaces.
